Relatively new to the Common Pleas Court, but an experienced hand at Toledo politics, Judge Gene Zmuda is an articulate and authoritative voice on a number of subjects. Aside from the practice of law, public policy and the art of stage blocking (Zmuda had lead roles in his high school productions of Oklahoma and My Fair Lady), one of Judge Zmuda’s favorite subjects is baseball. As a matter of fact, the Judge’s speech is peppered with references, allusions and metaphors based around America’s favorite pastime. The sport is something of a passion and compass point for the man.
