IBAHRI: United States must cease threats to International Criminal Court personnel and families

The International Bar Association’s Human Rights Institute (IBAHRI) condemns the remarks of United States Secretary of State, Michael Pompeo, in relation to an ongoing investigation at the International Criminal Court (ICC). During the media briefing on 17 March 2020, Secretary Pompeo spoke of the possible implication of US nationals in investigations conducted by the ICC Office of the Prosecutor. He derogatorily referred to the ICC as a ‘so-called court’ and a ‘nakedly political body’. He also named two members of the prosecution’s staff and implied measures could be imposed on these individuals, and their families.

U.S. Attorney’s Offices urges public to report suspected COVID-19 fraud

U.S. Attorney Justin Herdman of the Northern District of Ohio and U.S. Attorney David M. DeVillers of the Southern District of Ohio are urging the public to report suspected fraud schemes related to COVID-19 (the Coronavirus) by calling the National Center for Disaster Fraud (NCDF) hotline (1-866-720-5721) or to the NCDF e-mail address disaster@leo.gov.

ODNR Division of Forestry closing additional facilities

In response to the developing public health situation with COVID-19 and the Ohio Department of Health’s (ODH) Stay at Home Order, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Forestry will be closing All Purpose Vehicle (APV) areas and all campgrounds including group camps, horse camps, and family camps. All public restrooms will also be closed.

Lake Erie Protection Fund Grants available through Ohio Lake Erie Commission

The Ohio Lake Erie Commission announces applications are available for the Lake Erie Protection Fund Grant for projects in the Ohio Lake Erie watershed. Grants up to $50,000 will be considered during the current grant cycle. Applications are due May 1, 2020 with selections to be announced at the Ohio Lake Erie Commission meeting on June 17, 2020. Projects should address at least one of the Draft 2020 Lake Erie Protection & Restoration Plan Strategic Objectives.
