The Toledo softball team (12-20) split a twin bill with Akron (8-21) Saturday, April 6, to win the three-game series and move to 4-4 in Mid-American Conference play. UT fell 11-5 in game one but rallied to take a 6-1 victory in the nightcap to go 2-1 vs. the Zips over the weekend. Senior Kaitlyn Bergman had an impressive day as she went 4-for-6 with a solo homer, two walks, and two runs scored. Sophomore Erin Hunt added her eighth victory of the year after going the distance in game two, throwing a no-hitter through six innings.
