• Wanted Foreclosure Magistrate

  Lucas County Common Pleas Court is looking for a Magistrate to preside over foreclosure cases, both filed and pre-filed. Responsibilities include conducting hearings, making rulings on motions, researching and analyzing issues related to foreclosure cases, facilitating negotiations and potential settlement agreements between the parties. Licensed to practice law in Ohio required; specific training in mediation and demonstrated mediation skills preferred. Five years experience in the practice of law. Practical experience in real property, title, and foreclosure matters as well as bankruptcy code preferred. Part time (25 hours/week). May not engage in the practice of law in cases involving the Lucas County Common Pleas Court, General Trial Division. May require evening hours. Starting rate of pay $30.527 per hour (equates annually to $39,685). Excellent benefits package including health, prescription, dental, retirement, and various leaves.
