Notice Content: LEGAL NOTICE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The Toledo Zoo is soliciting sealed proposals for Architectural/Engineering Services for Elephant/ Rhino/ Hippo Improvements Project. The Toledo Zoo has designated elephants and rhinos as priority species for breeding to aid in the species preservation. To accomplish this, the Zoo's current facilities must be enhanced. In addition, holding improvements to our current hippo holding facility will be performed. Copies of the request for proposal may be obtained from the Toledo Zoo's Department of Facilities and Planning office located at 1717 Spencer St., Toledo, Ohio 43609; Phone: (419) 385-5721. No document deposit is required. Documents may be reviewed at The Toledo Zoo. Sealed proposals will be received at the Toledo Zoo's Department of Facilities and Planning office located at 1717 Spencer St., Toledo, Ohio 43609 until 2:00 P.M. EST on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. The official clock will be the clock located within the office of the Department of Facilities and Planning. Minimum Wage Rates, Prevailing Wage Rates, and Equal Employment Opportunity laws of the United States and the State of Ohio are applicable to all proposals received for this project. Proposals are subject to the terms and conditions of the request for proposal and the terms and conditions are hereby incorporated as if written in full herein. The owner may reject any and all proposals on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The Owner may waive any informality in the proposal to the extent permitted by law, or accept the proposal which is the "lowest and best" and which embraces such combination of alternates as may promote the best interests of the Owner. Such actions taken by the Owner shall not result in accrual of any right, claim, or cause of action by any unsuccessful bidder against The Toledo Zoo, the Board of Lucas County Commissioners, or Consultants under contract to The Toledo Zoo who prepared the request for proposal.
